Myanmar to let democracy party leader meet with her party's officials AP / November 08, 2007
The military government in Myanmar is allowing detained democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi to meet with her party's officials tomorrow.
It will be their first meeting in more than three years.
Officials announced the decision on state TV and radio, just hours after a U.N. envoy left Myanmar saying he had made progress in promoting talks between the government and Suu Kyi.
The government minister in charge of relations with Suu Kyi will reportedly see her first to make arrangements for the meeting.
The military regime has detained Suu Kyi since May 2003. She hasn't see the executive members of her National League for Democracy since May 2004.
