Venezuela reinforces ties with Myanmar Eluniversal.com / July 10, 207
The Union of Myanmar, also known as Burma, has shown interest in strengthening bilateral relations and identify areas to establish cooperation agreements with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, said Burma vice-minister of Foreign Affairs Maung Myint after meeting in Caracas with Venezuelan Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania Vladimir Villegas.
Myint arrived in Venezuela last July 5 as a special envoy and is scheduled to meet with the heads of different Venezuelan government agencies, including the ministries of Energy and Petroleum, Light Industries and Trade, and Environment, the Venezuelan Ministry of Communication and Information said in a press release.
Myanmar owns huge gas reserves, and it is therefore highly interested in knowing and learning about Venezuela' wide experience in gas and oil exploration and production.
