A young Kachin singer and models are performing for a new Video CD which will probably be released in early of October this year. 1,500 copies of VCD will be distributed to Kachin community in Burma and abroad as the first series.
All songs in the VCD are composed by own tunes of Kachin composers Galau Zung Ki, Ah Tang, M. Jaw Gun (Soul), Aung Lar (Soul), Sara Zau Hpang, Yi Shaba, Sabaw Ah Brang, Hka Li and Hkalen Tu Hkawng. The VCD is called ‘Tsaw N’hkru’, Not Enough to Love.
“I am sure that audiences will enjoy watching this VCD and they won’t skip watching any songs,” the singer of VCD Maran Seng Naw told The Kachin Post.
Seng Naw’s debut VCD ‘Tsaw N’hkru’ was sponsored by youth development program which is administered by Maj Sumlut Gun Maw from Kachin Independence Organization. A famous Kachin singer and composer Galau Zung Ki manages and directs all songs for ‘Tsaw N’hkru’.
The scene for the VCD’s nine of twelve songs have been finished shooting in Kachin State capital Myitkyina and Yingjiang Manau dance festival in Yunnan, Chian, said Seng Naw. The rest of the songs are shooting in Yangon and Chaung Tha beach. Naw Mai, Kum Htoi, Ah Zung, Tsinyu La, Kum Htung Seng Ram, Htoi Din, Lung Lung, Mary Seng Ram, Nang Shane, Nang San Hkun perform for this VCD as models.
The cassette tape version of ‘Tsaw N’hkru’ album, which was previously released, was quite famous amongst Kachin youth as it has several high-rated songs composed by G. Zung Ki and Hkalen Tu Hkawng. The most famous songs are Langji U Zawn (Like an Eagle) and Wa a Mungga (Dad’s Words).
However, Kachin music audiences are worry that the new ‘Tsaw N’hkru’ VCD would not be properly distributed as authorities in Myitkyina banned and confiscated all kinds of Kachin language music and Karaoke VCDs in the early of last February.
