September 30 — A journal “Shi Naura” will be published by Pan Kachin Development Society-Florida/ USA in December. The journal will be published in Kachin and English with the content of chronology of Kachin news and, culture and traditional based articles.

September 27 — A Youth committee of Kachin Baptist Convention is planning to hold a Christmas celebration in Myitkyina in early of December to raise funding to support stipends to Kachin university students.

September 25 — Kachin Independence Organization’s, KIO, reneged leader Col Lasang Awng Wa has agreed to reunion its group to the main KIO, after days long meeting between member of Kachin Consultative Assembly and his group in Pang Wa, Kachin State. The meeting held September 20-23.

September 24 — Seven major Churches in Myitkyina will host a special prayer service for Peace & Reconciliation, beginning from September 28 to October 4. The service is organized by Myitkyina Christian Churches Council.

September 22 — Over 500 Kachin Youth from Baptist Churches in Myitkyina district, Kachin State, participated the Youth Fellowship meeting on September 19 at Dap Kawng Baptist Church.

September 19 — Kachin Christian Church in Chiang Mai, Thailand, today hold a prayer service for 4th World Peace Day, organized by members of Women’s League of Burma.

September 17 — A bomb explosion on September 15 in Myitkyina, Kachin State, killed a member of New Democratic Army-Kachin and wounded three other men. The dead victim is the elder brother of Bawmwang La Raw, leader of Kachin National Organization.

September 16 — Kachin Independence Organization’s reneged leader Col Lasang Awng Wa said that KIO’s policy of opening doors for his group to reunion is unacceptable.

September 13 — Kachin Independence Organization, KIO, has discharge the leader of Kachin National Organization Bawmwang La Raw as No 1 destructive enemy of KIO after on September 6 after meeting with KIO leaders and Bawmwang La Raw and KIO leaders.
Bawmwang La Raw was declared as a No 1 destructive enemy of KIO on

June 23, accusing him of being a mastermind of the January 2004 coup attempt at the KIO headquarters, Pajau.

September 9 — Kachin Consultative Assembly, KCA, said that a consensus has reached for solving the problem of Kachin Independence Organization, KIO, after the meeting which was held on August 29 to September 8 in Maija Yang.

September 06 — Singapore Kachin Christian Fellowship, SKCF, will hold 10 anniversary of founding the Church on November 13-15 in Singapore. SKCF was established in August 15, 2004 at the Far Eastern Bible College in Singapore by Kachin Theological students and some Kachin.

September 4 — A meeting to solve the problem within Kachin Independence Organization, KIO, has been holding in Maija Yang, attending by 28 delegates from KIO, New Democratic Army-Kachin, NDA-K and Kachin Consultative Assembly, KCA.

September 3 — Commemoration ceremony for the Kachin youth, who pass the 10 standard in 2003-2004 school year, held on August 28 at Behtela Church in Myitkyina.

September 2 — A working meeting for agriculture reform in Kachin State held in Laiza on August 27-28. 150 delegates from 12 township of Kachin State, including NGO workers and representatives from Kachin Independence Organization’s Agriculture Department showed up the meeting.
